How do I export my Kindle library?

Log into read.amazon.com in your desktop browser. Open the Kindle Cloud Reader library, and use our 1-click Bookmarklet or browser extension helper to generate your kindle_library.json file. Then drag-and-drop it into the KindleRecs web dashboard.

How do I find my public library's OverDrive slug?

Visit your library's digital catalog on OverDrive. Look at the web address in your browser: https://[your-library-slug].overdrive.com. For example, if your library is https://spl.overdrive.com, your slug is simply spl.

Do I need an active library card to use KindleRecs?

You can browse recommendations and see live availability without a card. However, to borrow or hold the books on Libby / OverDrive, you will need a valid card with the corresponding library system.

Is KindleRecs free?

Yes! KindleRecs is free to use, and all books recommended are borrowed from public libraries at no charge.
